Show SOUTH WARD CHOIR TO PRESENT EASTER CANTATA On the evening of Easter Sunday, Sun-day, April 21, The South Weird ohoir will present the sacred Cantata, "From Cross to Crown" in the College auditorium, commencing com-mencing at 8 p.m. Part one of the cantata deals with the Crucifixion. Cru-cifixion. Part two, with the Resurrection. Re-surrection. Each part will be introduced by a dramatic, interpretive in-terpretive reading to musical accompaniment. ac-companiment. The choir will be supported by the following: SoloSsts: Mrs. Melba Webb Baker, Mrs. Ruth Allen Miles, .Mrs. Earl Cannon, Mrs. Ruby E. Morris, Carl L. Moss and Orson Or-son P. Miles; Interpretive reader, Miss Isabelle Brooksby; Violinists: Violin-ists: Mrs. Irene Everett, Mrs. Vera Christian and Wm. T. Morris, Mor-ris, Jr.; Pianists: Mrs. Ada Cannon Can-non and Miss Clara Woodhouse; Manager, Carl L. Moss; Assistant director, Wm. A. Whiteliead; Director, Di-rector, William T. Morris, Jr. There will be no charge, but contributions toward the completion comple-tion of the South Ward chapel will be received at the door or upon leaving. The production is not primarily a commercial enterprise, but rattier ra-ttier to emphasize the significance of Eastertide, and to cooperate with the other musical and artistic ar-tistic interest of the community in promoting appreciation of the finer things of life. |
