Show Mr. and Mrs. Doug Jarvie of Vernal visited with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Jarvie and children and with Mrs. Jarvie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Briggs, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. William Briggs, Jr. drove to Provo during the long weekend and took their daughter; Kristee and their son, Marshall, who are students at BYU, to Oak City, Utah to visit Mrs. Briggs' uncle, Lark Lowell and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. William Briggs, Sr. were in Vernal on Wednesday and Thursday. While there they visited William Briggs' sister, Mrs. Buel Bennett, who is in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Briggs visited Buel Bennett in Vernal on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harris of Duchesne visited in the Manila area with Mrs. Harris' Har-ris' mother, Marth Nelson and Glen's father, Ronnie Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carter and son, Johnny, were in Montpelier for the Easter vacation. Manila women held a weight clinic at the Senior Citizen Center on April 4. Due to the bad roads, the "Mock Trial" in which Vernal and Manila students were to participate on Monday, was cancelled until another date can be set. Bill Carter is the social studies teacher for the Manila High School. Mr. and Mrs. Art Robinson and children of Rock Springs, Wyo., visited with Art's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Robinson on Friday of last week. |
