Two Vernal Police officers certified with Police Academy Two new Venuil City 1'olue officers luve certified with the Utah Police Academy and a third officer's certification certifica-tion has been transferred from California, Califor-nia, being the first time in several years that the police force has been entirely state approved. Officers l.ynn Hooper and Scott Cud-nuindsen Cud-nuindsen completed their police academy training March 11. Hooper is from Kaysville, Utah where he was previously employed in the cement ce-ment business. He is married and has five children. He has been on the police force for six months. (uidmundsen is from Murray, Utah. He has three children, and has been with the Vernal Police for nine months. He was the top marksman in his graduating class at the academy. John Greene, former vice principal at Uintah High School, is currently a patrol officer with the Vernal City Police Department. He has a year's experience Willi the San Diego, Calif. Police Department Depart-ment and 31 j years experience with the San Diego, Calif. Sheriff's Department. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He is married and has three children. "I have always enjoyed police work," Greene said, "and I like working outside." |
