On the quilt is a silhouette of Mr. Beckstead surrounded sur-rounded by each staff member's signature and memos. School honors outgoing principal erf Cenvral Roger Q. Beckstead w as honored during dur-ing the month of March by the faculty, staff and students of Central Elementary. A bulletin board displayed at the Uintah Uin-tah School Board Office featured a handmade hand-made quilt designed and quilted by several of the staff members. A silhouette of Mr. Beckstead was surrounded sur-rounded by each staff member's signature and memos of his educational accomplishments. Students composed letters of their feelings feel-ings toward the outgoing principal, and a sampling of Mrs. Bailey's third grade puppets gave the finishing touches to the bulletin board done in blue and white. Central School colors. Mr. Beckstead has served for the past two years as principal of Central Elementary. During his stay he has made a concerted effort to improve the physical and emotional climate of the school. Parents have been welcomed warmly and student achievement has flourished under Mr. Beckstead's administration. The faculty, staff and students of Central Cen-tral School have felt privileged to work under Mr. Beckstead's leadership and w ish him well in his new assignment as principal of the new elementary school opening this fall in Davis. |
