Ron Wopsock added 19 points and Obie Taveapont scored 11 points. Johnny Angel added seven points and Jay Ml. Lion put in :) points. 100 Proof, another Ute Tribal team, garnered fifth place when they beat Konabud Gold, 111 to 53. Lonnie Sammaripa Sam-maripa led the team with 29 points. He put in 12 field goals and hit 5 out of 8 free throws. O.J. Trujillo added 25 counters. Trujillo popped in nine field goals and hit 7 out of 7 free throws. Also scoring for the 100 Proof team were: Billie Cutch, 18; Leslie Myore. 13; Doby Myore. 13 and Gary Trujillo. 5. Konabud Gold, another Ute Tribal team, was led in scoring by John Reed at 14 points. Kick Chapoose added 10 points and Andy Santio and Ralph 'Serawop scored six points. The Nighthawks advanced into the game with the Bobcats due to a 76 to 54 win over 100 Proof. Millcreek beat Konabud Gold, 100 to 45. Utley led the Nighthawks with 16 points. Angel added 12 points. Shawn Spencer, Wopsock and Mt. Lion poured in eight points. Taveapont Tavea-pont and Terrance Cuch added seven points. Oney Cuch scored six points and Jubal Myore popped in four points. Sammaripa was the top scorer on the 100 Proof team at 17 points and Doby Myore added 13 points. O.J. Trujillo and Cuch scored eight points. Gary Trujillo added four points. Robert Cuch and Jake Warrick scored two points. The Provo Blazers beat the Nighthawks, 83 to 77 and advanced into the title game due to a 77 to 71 win over the Oglala Sioux. Sonny Brown led the Blazer team with 26 points. Robert Yaz-zie Yaz-zie added 13 points. Dee Baxter put in 1 1 points and Lornie Pinnecoose scored ten points. Melvin High Hawk led the Sioux team with 22 points on 1 1 field goals. Irv Provost scored 14 points. The Sioux team beat the Millcreek Bobcats to advance into the title game and beat the Blazers in two games for the title. Wopi, the Nighthawks in their loss ! Blazers with 23 points.
