Show Congressmen meet with commissioners U.S. Congressman Jim Hansen and Howard C. Nielsen met in Vernal with County Commissioners from Uintah, Duchesne and Daggett counties in a closed clos-ed meeting Monday afternoon. The commissioners said the Congressmen Con-gressmen were under pressure by eastern groups to tie up public lands into in-to wilderness areas so they could be preserved in their natural state. Monday morning Rep. Hansen made a tour of the White River Shale Project at the Ua-Ub site and entered the mine decline shaft.
