Several months ago a classroom in the building began sinking and had to be evacuated. Since that time students are in the classroom, as the soil analysis firm forsees no future sinking. Taylor said that area outside the school where the sinking took place will remain fenced until summer when the district will correct the problem. District building officials have been advised that additional sinking is occur-ing occur-ing at West Junior High. Taylor said that he recommended to the board to correct the problem when the district builds a new auditorium for the school. |
