A troubadour carries the spirit of his people through their songs and their stories, says Bill Schustik. Accompanying Accompany-ing himself on guitar, harmonica and banjo, he brings the history of America alive through ballads, sea chanties and folksongs. For years he has entertained and educated enthusiastic audiences throughout the United States. From his stage debut with a one-man show for Nantucket's Straight Wharf Theater, Mr. Schustik's particular combination of story and song has won rave reviews. An original member of Pete Seeger's Hudson Hud-son River Sloop Singers, Schustik has appeared ap-peared at Bar Harbor, Provincetown, and Newport folk festivals. During the Bicentennial he was chosen as the official of-ficial chanteyman of Operation Sail76 for which he made several nationwide tours with over 100 concerts in 1976 alone. He also recorded "Stormalong," the official of-ficial album for the Tall Ships festivities. Bill Schustik is the chanteyman of the extreme clipper schooner Shenandoah, the only square rigged vessel which still sails regularly out of New England. mi mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm. mm mm mm mm mm i ' ... - - V . i ) f 7 ' ' ' 7 .
