Show TAX CREDIT CERTIFICATIONS Individuals wanting to receive tax credit certification cer-tification for their renewable energy system investments by the April 15 tax return filing deadline must submit their applications to the Utah Energy Office no later than March 20, according to State Renewable Resource Manager Kevin Gillars. The Utah Energy Office, an agency of the Department Depart-ment of Natural Resources and Energy, experienced a four-fold increase in-crease in tax credit applications ap-plications this January as compared to the same time last year. The Utah Energy Office received 125 applications in January, 1983. In contrast, only 22 tax credit applications were received in January 1982. To date, the Utah Energy Office has reviewed review-ed more than 250 applications applica-tions for the 1982 tax year. The Utah Energy Systems Tax Credit grants a 10 percent tax credit for investment in renewable energy systems such as passive and active solar, wind and hydro energy up to $1000 for residential applications ap-plications and up to $300C for commercial applications. applica-tions.
