The all-musical program, taped entirely en-tirely in the beautiful Gothic First United Methodist Church in Pasadena, Calif., features a wide range of gospel and holiday music, from new songs with a contemporary sound to old standards stan-dards and traditional melodies. Mac and his guests open the show with a spirited contemporary gospel number, "It Is His Birthday," written for the show by music director Velton Ray Bunch. |
