Show Beta Nu Utah Beta Nu chapter met in the home of Glenda Smarr Nov. 2. A check for $300 was presented to the Uintah County Library for a historical display unit. AS program on Goals and Training was given by Angie Mothershead. She led a discussion along with Chad Orton, the local high school counselor. The members were surprised to learn that Mr. Orton is the only counselor for a student body of 790. Our senior high has an astounding dropout rate attributed partly to the local availability of high paying jobs and students marrying at an early age. Five new pledges were given their Pledge Rituals and they also received their yearbooks. A program presented by Helen Foreman was held in her home Nov. 16. Helen is a member of Xi Alpha Xi. She has lived in Saudi Arabia. Friday, Nov. 20 a Mexican dinner, was held in the home of Marylee Godfrey. A variety of Mexican dishes were, served. Members and their - husbands -were present and games were played. |
