Show A Decorative Holiday Accompaniment Enhance your holiday turkey dinner with a refreshing fruit flavor gelatin salad. Light and luscious, Cranberry Salad Supreme combines a favorite fruit of the season the cranberry with a mixture of orange flavor gelatin and creamy whipped topping to form a superb salad mold. Start this recipe before you put the turkey in to cook and they'll both be ready to greet the guests! Cranberry Salad Supreme 1 cup ground fresh ' 34 cup cold water , cranberries 2 teaspoons lemon juice :,, ,' 13 cup sugar 23 cup thawed frozen 1 package (3 oz.) Jell-O whipped topping .-- orange flavor gelatin 1 cup halved seedless 18 teaspoon salt white grapes 1 cup boiling 13 cup chopped walnuts water (optional) j Combine cranberries and sugar; set aside. Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Add cold water and lemon juice. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in whipped topping, blending blend-ing well. Then fold in grapes, nuts and cranberry mixture. Pour into 4-cup mold or individual molds. Chill until firm, about 3 hours. Unmold. Serve with salad greens and mayonnaise, if desired. Makes 4 cups or 8 servings. |
