Elks to sponsor fireworks display The Elks' Annual Fireworks Display will again be at the Vernal Baseball Complex July 4th. According to Carl Cobbs, exalted ruler of the Vernal Elks, about $1,500 in fireworks will be set off. Most of the revenue for the fireworks display comes from local donations from merchants mer-chants and individuals. The Vernal Elks contribute the balance. The program pro-gram will begin at dark. Becky Allred's Flaming Flamette's baton twirllers will perform along with Ann Larsen's Starlights and Firelights baton twirllers. The fireworks display will be under the direction of the Elk's Americanism Committee as a public service project.
