Show j Lapoint i Rrda (Tlansfield I Phone 247-3767 Family reunion at Yellowstone Park Mr. and Mrs. Walter Case left this week for Yellowstone Park where they are attending a famiiy reunion. Miss Cindy Warburton is leaving on a mission to New York on August 7. Her testimonial was held July 26 in the newly built LDS chapel in Lapoint. Vermon Esplin has been transferred and is doing a marvelous job. He is baptizing a large number of people. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Walker and family recently' returned from a trip to California where they went to Disneyland and other points of interest. Bruce Horrocks went to Salt Lake City this past week and bought a new four wheel drive pickup. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lee went to - Salt -Lake City- last week to take their daughter to the children's hospital. They returned home on Saturday. While there they visited with Mr. Lee's mother, Mrs. Aria Lee. , Mr. and Mrs. Kim Mansfield came last weekend and picked up their son who had been staying with his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Mansfield. A cookout was held for the child of Mr. Wade Horrocks in Vernal on July 15. Grandparents of the little girl are Mr. and Mrs. Keith Horrocks and Mr. and Mrs. Sunny Willers. Great grandparents grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks. Visiting in Lapoint and Vernal were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sprouse from Phoenix, Ariz. They also went on to Wyoming to visit their children. The past two weeks the Lapoint ward has been having their family home evenings cleaning the outside of the church for landscaping. Miss Jerri Esplin has returned from Salt Lake City and is helping her father at the Bigger Burger in Vernal and Rangely. The reception for Mr. and Mrs. Glade Wooley was a huge success with a large crowd in attendance. Michelle Huber sang two songs, Joan and Roma Jean, sang a song with JaNae and Elaine Wooly planing a piano duet. |
