Show Young's Paint and Outsiders place in meet Young's Paint of Vernal garnered fourth place in the Coal Country Invitational In-vitational in Price last week. Young's Paint toppled the Suns of Huntington, 16 to 12 in the first round and was defeated by U.S. Fuel of Price, 13 to 7, in the second round. U.S. Fuel Credit Union of Price was defeated by Young's Paint, 16 to 10. Young's Paint toppled The What Team of Salt Lake City 16 to 5. The Outsiders of Vernal were defeated by Young's Paint, 11 to 2. Coors of Helper downed Young's Paint, 5 to 2, in the battle for third place. Purke , Buckalew of Young's Paint was named to the all-star team. The Outsiders of Vernal won their first three games as they defeated Beaver Creek Coal of Price, Marx' Body, Price and Wen-Don, Price. The Outsiders suffered losses to House of Cooperof Salt LakeCity and to Young's Paint of Vernal. The Outsiders finished in a tie for fifth place. The Basin Bailers of Vernal were defeated by the House of Cooper and Lupo's Tire of Price. After eight weeks of action in the Vernal Men's Softball League, the Basin Bailers are in first place with a 15-2 record. Following the Basin Bailers are: Young's Paint, second, 14-3; 14-3; Outsiders, third, 12-4; Twin Cinema, fourth, 11-5; Dalgarno, fifth, 11-7; Morrell Construction, 7-11 Cafe, sixth, 9-7; Intermountain Diggers, Tosco, eighth, 8-8; Hospital, tenth, 4-12; Hellanback, 11th, 4-14; Western Company, 12th, 3-14 and Kenworth, 13th, 1-16. 7-11 Cafe toppled Hellanback and Young's Paint. Dalgarno defeated Kenworth and Young's Paint downed Kenworth. Tosco defeated Morrell Construction and Twin Cinema downed Western Company and Hospital. The Intermountain Diggers toppled the Outsiders and Dalgarno downed Morrell Construction. The Basin Bailers defeated Tosco, July 22. Young's Paint defeated Western Company and Hospital downed Hellanback and Dalgarno toppled Hospital, July 23.
