Colo. 60917 I 303-597-8741 I Jobs plentiful in technical-vocational technical-vocational field Despite the current economic recession, people who have had technical-vocational training are having few problems in finding good jobs, according to Roger Honeyman, job placement coordinator at Utah Technical College at Provo-Orem. "The job opportunities for graduates remains high," emphasized Mr. Honeyman, "although some areas, such as carpentry, are low in opportunity op-portunity at the present time. However, upcoming projects in Utah such as the IPP project and the possibilities of the MX system, plus a lowering of interest rates gives an indication that by the time students complete their training in two years, even these areas will show an upturn in the job market." According to Mr. Honeyman, there are still openings in the majority of programs offered for the fall quarter, which begins September 29. Students who are interested in enrolling in the fall should complete an application for admission as soon as possible. Tuition ' may also be prepaid to ease the registration process during the official registration days, September 24 through 26. Openings still exist in the following "programs at utan Technical College at Provo-Orem : Accounting, auto body repair, auto mechanics, business management, cabinet making and millwork, carpentry, car-pentry, child care aide, clerk-typist, drafting, electronics, fashion merchandising, mer-chandising, graphics-commercial art, general-related education, hotel-motel restaurant management, human services, legal assistant, legal secretary, machine shop, medical receptionist, medical secretary, office education, office management, refrigeration and air conditioning, retail management, secretary, truck driving, welding and x-ray technology. |
