Show V' J Ai' ..J IVEN CROSS Ivan G. Ross to celebrate 80th birthday An open house to honor Iven G. Ross on his 80th birthday anniversary, will be held at the Tridell Chapel on Saturday, August 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. Mr. Ross was born Aug. fi, 1900 in Glines to Stephen M. and Margaret! (Maggie) Wardle Ross. He moved with his family to the Tridell area at the age of 6, where he lived and helped his family pioneer the area. He attended school in the Vernal area. He was herding sheep in the Baldie Mountains at the age of 12. He farmed in the Uintah Basin for many years and also worked in the timber and mining business. Mr. Ross retired from Ziegler Chemical Company. He loves hunting and fishing and working with horses, breaking and training many. Mr. Ross served six years in the Indian Mission. He married Ruby Anderson November 4, 1921, who passed away in 1972. They are the parents of three children, Mrs. Duane (Jane) Caldwell and Dee Ross of Vernal, Mr. G. Paul (Betty Jean) Wilcken of Glendale, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; grand-children; 15 great grandchildren. He married Emma Watkins, July, 1972 and they reside in Roosevelt. The family invites all relatives and friends to attend. No gifts please. |
