Show '- ' -' ' ' V, - f V .... .1; ' I ... ' 'J I I HILDA FAULKNER Services honor Hilda Faulkner Hilda Ardis Williams Faulkner, 76, died August, 28, 1980 at Stewart's Convalescent Villa. Born Sept. 20, 1903, in Vernal -to Edward Harvy and Myrtle Johnson Belcher, she married Roland Williams in Duchesne. He died July 2, 1939. She married Allen Faulkner June 2, 1952 in Chehalis, Wash. He died Jan. 12 1977. She was a school teacher in Uintah County School District for 25 years. She was active in the Golden Age Senior - Citizen Center. She served as vice president and director and was on the committee for the aging. She received an award from Gov. Rampton for outstanding Senior Citizen of the year. Mrs. Faulkner was given a trophy classroom teacher award for service to the community in 1966. She has served as president of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Vernal and has been- district director, vice-director vice-director and secretary for the Democratic State Convention in Salt Lake City. She also acted as county chairwoman of the Democratic Party one year. Active in church activities, she was a member of the Uintah State Sunday School Board for several years. She was secretary of the LDS Vernal 5th and 6th Ward Sunday schools for several years. .'' - Survivors include sons and daughters, Mrs. Carl S. (Donna) Collett, Flaming Gorge, Utah; Mrs. David (Jolleen) Freemier, Colorado; . Mrs. Garth (Marita) Batty, Robert "Bob" Williams, Larry Wayne Williams, all of Vernal; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Cora Ward, West Valley; Warren Et Belcher, Vernal; Woodrow LeRoy, Mrs. Vido (Hazel) Svicarovich, Mrs. Frank (Dixie) Maygren, Nile Belcher, all of Long Beach, Calif. One son, Roland Dale, preceded her in death. Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Vernal 3rd Ward. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park. |
