Show Ute News By Teresa Smith The Utes held their first annual" "Sop . Night" last Thursday night at Uintah High School. The party, sponsored by the Executive Council, was the first event of the year. Students began the evening with football games and frisbee golf. Musical chairs and a tug-of-war followed. The sophomores, because of their large number, won the tug-of-war. Winners of other contests were seniors, Volkswagdn stuff; Gary Galley, Susi Feltch and Sandra Perry, pie eating; Frank Atwood and Coach. Bowthorpe, root beer chug.- Special thanks go to Bill Richardson at Arctic Circle for his donations. A pep assembly was put on by the cheerleaders to honor the football team, Friday afternoon. The Ute's varsity football squad battled Lehi Friday night. The Utes were defeated 24-0. The Utes will encounter Union this Friday at home. Following the game a Uintah-Union friendship dance will be held at Uintah. Cost will be $1 with activity card, $1.50 without.- The Uintah volleyball team will play their first match at Provo High School today. There are six senior starters returning to the team, along with some promising juniors. |
