Cicgv Uraion eondS AlvamoEiiv Uintah High School's volleyball team .vill battle the Provo Bulldogs on the road, Thursday at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. in ;he season opener for the Vernal team, rhe Utes' first home encounter will v against Union High School on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Uintah will host Altamont, Sept. 11 and Rangely, Sept. 16. The Uintah Volleyball Tournament, which rvas set for Sept. 19 and 20, has been :ancelled. However, games will be idded to the schedule. Uintah will host prus on Sept. 30. "Practice has been going really well, ast year Provo was really good, but hey have lost almost everyone. We (Uintah) beat their sophomores last year. Altamont is supposed to be real young," said Uintah High School's volleyball coach, Loa Kay Bowthorpe. Volleyball encounters set for October are: Uintah at Judge Memorial, Oct. 2; Jordan at Uintah, Oct. 7; Uintah at Murray, Oct, 14; Tooele at Uintah, Oct. 21; Uintah at Cyprus, Oct. 24; Judge Memorial at Uintah, Oct. 28 and Uintah at Jordan, Oct. 30. Uintah will host Murray on Nov. 4 and will battle the Buffaloes in Tooele on November 6. The state volleyball tournament is set from Nov. 10 to Nov. 18.
