Show UBAVC credit transfer program announced A program of transfer of credit from Uintah Basin Area Vocational Center to Utah Technical College at Provo-Orem was announced recently by Keith Berg-quist, Berg-quist, Instructional Program Coordinator Coor-dinator of the UBAVC . Students attending the Center may now at the same time receive transfer-rable transfer-rable college credit at the Provo Tech. This will be a great advantage, according accor-ding to Bergquist, as students may wish . to attend a two or four-year college in the area, and will have much of their initial in-itial college work completed prior to graduating from the Center. "We feel that many of our students would like to take advantage of living in the Basin," said Bergquist, "and still be earning credit in a vocational-technical vocational-technical major for transfer to two or four-year universities and colleges. It means that two great vocational-technical vocational-technical . institutions are working together for the betterment of the people peo-ple of the Uintah Basin. ' ' Prospective students wishing information infor-mation on the program or on the courses offered at the Provo Tech may contact Mr. Bergquist or Kathy Hall, Counselor at the Center. |
