Show C Naples Jo Openshaw Phone 789-3157 Edna Call home from hospital Edna Call spent several days in the Uintah County Hospital last week. She is recuperating at home now. Her daughter Roxanne Taylor of Bountiful came to care for her for a few days. Mrs. Calls sons, Joe of Bountiful and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Call of Loean. came to spend the weekend with her. Terance and Carolyn Batty returned to Provo Monday of last week after spending two and a half weeks visiting their parents, the Shirley Prices, and the Garth Battys, of Ashley. Terance is attending BYU where he is in his senior year. Frank and Jo Ann Novinger and children returned Sunday from a ten-day ten-day vacation in Grand Junction, Colo. Craig Nielsen visited his father, Lester Nielsen, and Aunt May N. Anderson An-derson last week. Sheila Lind entertained Friday afternoon af-ternoon in honor of her daughter, Loretta's, fifth birthday. The youngsters enjoyed games and refreshments. refresh-ments. Sally Merrell returned to BYU Monday. Doris Merrell will attend College of Eastern Utah. Kenneth and Annette Reynolds and baby Kevin went to Salt Lake Tuesday of last week for medical care for Kevin at the Primary Children's Hospital. Kenneth returned that evening. Glen and Toni Reynolds and sons, Kirk and Fred, went to Salt Lake Friday. Annette Reynolds and son returned with them. Elder Duane Merrell returned home from a two year LDS Mission to Melbourne, Australia, Saturday night and reported his mission in Naples 1st Ward Sunday afternoon. Charles and Hazel Olsen accompanied ac-companied by their grandson, Gregory, went to Salt Lake City Friday. Roger Colthorpe received word that his mother had been killed in a car accident, in Arizona. Lonnie and Linda Oaks, sons of Midvale; Tim and Anita Davis and children of Rangely, Colo., visited over the weekend with their mother, Amy Pope. Edith Goodrich of Bountiful visited Edna Call and accompanied the Special Interest group that went to the three day Special Interest Convention held at Grand Junction, Colo. Attending from Naples were Edna Call, Elva Bowthorpe and Connie C. Southam. They returned Monday. The Lee Murdocks have purchased a home in Naples 1st Ward. Several girlfriends had a surprise birthday party Friday evening for Janice Hansen at her home. The Arnold Baker family went to the State Fair Thursday of last week. Their son. Evan, who attends the BYU at Provo joined them in the evening and they attended the Ice Follies after which they went to Provo and were overnight guests of Arnold's sister, the Floyd N. Johnson family. The Bakers returned to Vernal Friday. Christa Foster of St., George visited friends here during the week. Douglas and Jennifer Johnson of Salt Iake visited the weekend with their mother Angala Coonradt, and family. Toni Reynolds and son, Fred, accompanied ac-companied Marilyn Broadbent to Provo Thursday of last week. Annette Oldaker of Rexburg, Idaho, spent the weekend with her parents, the Carl Oldakers and family. |
