Bestman was Bruce Colton and ushers were Lon Handley, Larry McKinney and Robert Nelson. They wore yellow tuxedos and had peach rosebud boutonnieres. The fathers of the couple wore yellow tuxedos and had peach rosebud boutonniers also. The bride's mother was dressed in a floorlength yellow gown with a corsage-of corsage-of peach roses and pearls. The bridegroom's mother chose a yellow floor-length gown with long sleeves and a corsage of peach roses. Table arrangements of horseshoes, nowers ana carian nuuon were maue by the bride's mother. The bride's aunt, Lillian Beedie of Edinburg, Scotland brought lucky horseshoes, silver handcuffs and a Scottish coin which by Scottish tradition is given to the bride after the ceremony for good luck. Receptionists were Robert and Vickie Nelson. At the guest book was Linda Lee. They had peach carnation corsages with pearls. Gift bearers and also in the gift room were Heidi, Elona and Marie Gardner and Dixie Sessions, Serving were Erica and April Gardner. Pouring were Lillian Beedie, Anne Collier and Gloria Curtis and in the kitchen was Thelma Howie. Tamra Hawkins played piano throughout the reception. Songs played included: "Here comes the Bride," "You Light Up My Life," "Nadia's Theme" and " Evergreen." The four tiered wedding cake was decorated with a water fountain and favors in tartan ribbon and lucky charms, all from Scotland. Special out-of-town guests were the bride's aunt, Lillian Beedie, Edinburgh, Edin-burgh, Scotland; and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Howie, Canada and Stevan and Cathy Lowe, Provo. The groom's sister, Carma Bascom, hosted a pound shower and Carla Roberts hosted a personal shower. For their wedding trip to Salt Lake City and Park City the bride chose a middy, maroon-colored gunnysack styled dress. They are now at home in Vernal. |
