Show Devils End League Play, Down East Carbon 66-62 Moab gained a measure of revenge for their only home court loss of the season Thursday, by knocking over East Carbon C6-62 on the Viking Vik-ing floor. A second half rally that saw Moab shoot 50 percent from the field and out rebound re-bound the Vikes 28-14 brou- . ght Moab from behind. East Carbon led at the end of the first quarter, 14-7, and at the half, 31 27. With 57 seconds left in Iho game Moab led by only two points and East Carbon had the ball. The Vikings missed their chance, Moab got the ball and Von Isaman was fouled. The junior center hit both free throws and Moab had its winning margin. Isaman scored 18 to lead Moab. Lenny Walterschied hit 14, Eric Daniels 13 and Steve Wyatt 10 for Moab. Daniels took 13 rebounds to lead that department while Wyatt went 7-12 at the foul line. East Carbon, fourth ranked in Class A, looked like they could beat anybody on a given giv-en night. McKean topped Viking Vik-ing scoring with 20 points, Arambula had 13 and Jackson 12. Moab ended the regular season with a 14-2 mark overall ov-erall and 6 2 in the region. The losses were to San Juan and East Carbon; two teams that also lost to Moab. This Wednesday, Moab will play Millard at St. George. |
