'iyy-O: - A Moab parents will soon have the opportunity to participate in a parent-child conference which deals with learning ot use taucational toys which will soon be available through the toy lending program to be offered here. Parent-Child Training Program Offered Here The Parent-Child Training Course, a prerequisite fur participation in the Toy Lend-' ing Library program, teaches parents how to use toys and games that help preschool children learn some very important im-portant skills and ideas, according ac-cording to educators at the Far West Laboratory for Educational Ed-ucational Research and Development De-velopment in California. The Parent-Child Training Course is to be offered to parents of the Moab area with registration and orientation orienta-tion to take place Wednesday evening, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Home Economcis area of the Moab Area Vocational Center under the Adult Education Edu-cation Department of Grand County School District. The course is open to parents of children three to four years of age. It will be given each Wednesday evening for eight weeks. One-quarter unit of high school credit will be given upon completion of the courses to those interested interest-ed in completing high school education. The fee for the course is $12- Special arrangements ar-rangements can be made for low-income persons. During and after the course parents participating will be able to get the toys from the school for use with their chil dren. The toys will be loaned to the parents without cost. Parents will be taught how to use eight different educational educa-tional toys and games developed devel-oped by Far West Laboratory. Labora-tory. After each class, they will take the toy for which the instruction was given home and use it with their children. A different toy will be used each week. C.
