Show Come join Otho on Saturday hike Otho Murphy, 80-year-old long time Moab resident, will be leading a trip into the canyon country to explore outlaw ; and Indian trails and interesting geologic features this Saturday, ; starting at 7 a.m. from The Times-Independent ' office. All Those interested in ' the history and geology of the area are invited to attend. Several four-wheel drive vehicles will be needed for the outing. The trip will include the Dead Horse Point area, Aztec Knoll, Mineral Canyon and possibly Murphy Trail, if time allows. The Park Service may supply a support vehicle with water and first aid equipment if it is available at the time of the jaunt. Hiking will be minimal, limited to one to two miles beyond the end of various jeep trails. As those who accompanied Otho on his recent birthday birth-day hike in the LaSals know, a trip with the old prospector is quite an experience, providing a wealth of information on local history.
