Show Forty-tlireo Senior C '.irl Scouts mul 11 uilults roprosiMiting (i troops from the Utah Girl Scout Council arrived in Moab Friday evening, for the Senior Girl Scout full conference, with the theme "Make Your Own Kind of Music." Saturday morning hiking hik-ing in the Arches kept the girls busy and that afternoon after-noon workshops in gourmet gour-met cooking, winter backpacking, back-packing, weed urt, music and new games were held in the City l'ark and St. Pius Church hall. Brownie girls and leaders lead-ers from Moab participated participa-ted in the games and workshop. Late in the afternoon the group drove down the I'olash Koad to make petroglyph rubbings. That evening Senior Planning Hoard President Sue Dart and advisors, Kathy Daniels Dan-iels and Lynne Roister; conducted a business meeting for the planning of coming activities throughout the year. Each month senior planning board is hosted by a different troop. This month Moab's Troop 190 did the honors, with Kuren Bohn as president. Sunday morning the girls conducted their "Scouts Own" ceremony in the park. Silk screened t-shirts the girls made, with "Make Your Own Kind of Music" were passed out as well as "Senior Power" buttons. A special thanks is extended to Fr. Verdi of the Catholic Church for the use of the hall and cooking facilities.
