Show River Flow InformaHon Released Bureau of Reclamation officials last week released their regular river flow advisory advi-sory and indicated that the flow of the Colorado at West-water West-water Canyon had increased to about 4,000 c.f.s. The Cataract Cata-ract Canyon flow, including the Green River flow, is about 7,000 c.f.s. The report predicted pre-dicted that this would decrease de-crease to a base flow of about 5.000 c.f.s. during the fall and winter. Lake Powell is presently at elevation 3,604 feet and is expected to decrease to 3,596 during the winter. The report, which was issued is-sued before the heavy rains in southeastern Utah last week indicated that the San Juan River was flowing at about 1,000 c.f.s at Bluff. The storms increased that flow to about 24,000 c.f.s. during peak periods and the river was reported to be in flood stage, slowing cleanup operations on a largeoil slick in that area. |
