Also included in the construction con-struction funding for Hill Field is $7,465,000 for 318 family housing units, $128, 000 for a water pollution abatement program, and $450,000 for an air pollution abatement program. An appropriation of nearly $1.1 million is allocated in the legislation for heating and sanitary systems at Defense De-fense Depot Ogden, including $226,000 for a water pollution abatement program. Rep. McKay said that this appropriation, when combined com-bined with the nearly $17 million funded for this purpose pur-pose last year, meant a total in excess of $30 million coming com-ing into Utah for new construction. |
