Show Highway Meeting . . . Over thirty southeastern Utah residents appeared ap-peared in Moab Tuesday evening at a planning meeting scheduled by the Utah Department of Highways. The meeting was conducted by Road Commissioner Com-missioner Sam Taylor of Moab, and involved comments by top staff people from the Department of Highways office in Salt Lake City, and at Price, Utah. Groups from Grand, San Juan County, from Emery County and from communities along Interstate 70 made comments relative to projected road needs in the Southeast Utah Planning District during the next 20 years. Getting particular emphasis from those in attendance were roads in the Aneth area of San Juan County, and Utah Highway 128 which extends from Moab up the Colorado River. The Moab meeting was one in a series of eight meetings scheduled for rural Utah communities commun-ities to discuss road planning, and to gain citizen input. |
