Show arYrrTTrnnnrinni Adult voting delegates Judy Martin, Margaret Webb, Robin Rob-in Henningson and Danny ffinfield along with Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts Marilyn and Beverly Shelton, Mary ffinfield, Cindy Martin, Carol Crossland Penny Martin, Lori McCurdy and Betsy Czark and Leader Shirley Shelton as one of the drivers traveled to Salt Lake last Friday for the Annual Girl Scout Convention on Saturday at Utah Technical College. Friday afternoon saw most of our group shopping at University Mall and that evening many of the Girl Scout Council Staff office members joined us at the Spaghetti Factory in Trolley Square for In evening of getting acquain-ed. acquain-ed. Our new Council President (or the next two years will be Betty Rider, who, as Vice President, visited Moab last March during our Skills Day. Workshops on Nature Crafts, finance and music were well attended. Wider Opportunity Oppor-tunity Scouts, those girls selected last summer for various Girl Scout sponsored trips, gave a slide and oral presentation on their trips. One Utah girl, Karen Jones from Orem, spent 9 weeks in West Africa. Highlight of the day was "Happenings '76", a combined combin-ed slide and movie presentation presenta-tion put together by Louise Witt. Two slide projectors with movies being shown at the same time in the center was a most effective way of showing what Girl Scouts all over the State of Utah, Fredonia, Arizona and White Pine, Nevada did during the past |
