Church. This is for all the seniors. Juniors that want to attend may sign up before the 23rd in the office. . During this week Dr. James West will be handing out booklets on Post High School Orientation. This book tells a little bit about each of the colleges, including information informa-tion on tuition, book fees and :- all expenses. At the orientation each person may choose three workshops. It is recommended that they choose to find out i about one small college, one : : large college and one technical " college. '-: Colleges that will be respre-sented respre-sented that afternoon will be Utah State, Weber State, - Stevens Henager, L.D.S. Bus- ' iness College, University of Utah, Utah Tech. at Salt Lake, ? Utah Tech. at Provo, Brigham Young University, Snow College, Col-lege, College of Eastern Utah, Southern Utah State, Dixie I College, and Ricks College. Information and applica-tions applica-tions will be available from G- each college for scholarshps, housing and admittance. E' i 1: VOLLEYBALL GAME : Wednesday, Nov. 10, the '' girls volleyball team had their ' first home game. They played Blanding and Emery. The " ' varsity beat Emery 21-19 and 20-8. The Moab varsity team also beat Blanding 20-9 and '"' 20-10. The Moab junior varsity team lost to both teams. ": As far as coach Joyce Victor J' . knows, their next games will "'"be Region 7 competition on ; . Nov. 23, at Monroe. r Coach Joyce Victor says that the girls have a good chance of "'. taking first at Region 7 again " this year. CHORUS PERFOMRANCE The chorus class and glee classes of GCHS preformed last Thursday night at the Elks Club for the Ladies of Elks. Approximately forty students ; sang bicentennial songs under C the direction of Mr. Wendell Bowthorpe. Mrs. Doreen Crossland was the accompanist. accompan-ist. ROTARY EXCHANGE The Rotary Club is now accepting applications for exchange ex-change students. Students who are interested must be a sophomore or older. These i students will be required to : pay for round trip ticket to the I : country which they go to. if Students are chosen by it!; grades, activities in school, C personal appearance, teach-i- Ms' ratings, and community it: activities. INTERACT CLUB The Interact Club will be selling fire wood. The wood will be sold for $35 a cord. The type of wood to be sold is pinian. You can buy the wood at the home of Emmett Mays in Spanish Valley. PRACTICE RODEO Rodeo Club Secretary Jill Krist announced that there will be a practice rodeo in Monticello November 19 starting start-ing at 1:30 p.m. Members interested in riding must have a permission slip and a completed entry blank which they can get from Jill. The prices for the events are listed on the bottom of the entry blanks. They must be in by the 17th of November. There will be a rodeo dance after the competition. The band will be Calvin Wilson Special. |
