Show City Court News . . . Appearing in City Court Oct. 8 on charges of attempted aggravated robbery was Mitchell Paul Milillo, who requested time to consult counsel. He again appeared with counsel, Bruce Halliday, on Nov. 12, and they requested request-ed a preliminary hearing, which was held Nov. 15. After evidence was presented present-ed in this case. County Attorney Bill Benge moved to amend the complaint to charge the defendant with the crime of assault. On advice of counsel, Milillo entered a plea positive identification by members mem-bers of the family, expected in Moab sometime Wednesday, would complete investigation, said Sheriff Bowman. of guilty to this charge and was sentenced to serve 6 months in jail. However, all but 20 days of the jail sentence were suspended suspen-ded on condition that Milillo leave town. If he returns within 2 years he will be required to serve the balance of the jail sentence, ordered City Judge Don Crist. Kathy Ruble and Nancy Roark appeared Nov. 15 on charges of illegal consumption of intoxicants. Both entered pleas of guilty and each was ordered to pay a $75 fine. Phillip Justus appeared Nov. 15 charged with criminal mischief. He entered a plea of guilty, and sentencing was set for Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. Linda Rodrinnp7 annparpH i -rt Nov. 15 charged with theft of items belonging to the Bowen Motel. She entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to pay a $100 fine. Phillip Wiksten appeared Nov. 15 charged with driving during suspension. He entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $100 fine. On Nov. 16 Johnny S. Olearain, 29, 133 E. 2nd North, appeared on a charge of reckless driving. He entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $200 fine. On Nov. 16 Rod Tibbetts was scheduled to appear and enter a plea to a charge of criminal trespass on property managed by Mary Mitchell. He had posted bail of $50, and when he did not appear, his bail was forfeited. |
