Three new sites m in Grand County will be drilled. 'A Ari-Mex Oil & Exploration, Moab, ; j announces plans for a 2,500 foot I I J test well at the No. 1-7 Skip Federal t just northwest of Moab. Robert : f I West, Sandy, will drill two wells :l west of Cisco at the No. 1-46 W.K. and the No. 1-13 W.K. They are to I go to depths of at least 1,200 to j 1,800 feet. I In San Juan County, Superior Oil Company will drill three wells in the McElmo Creek area south of 3 Aneth. The wells are to be drilled to I about 5,700 feet for testing of the ' Chimney Rock and Desert Creek J formations. In Summit County, American Quasar Petroleum will drill the No. 4-1 Clark in the I Pineview area to 10,500 feet for j tests of the Nugget formation. And, in Uintah County, Continental Oil 1 Company will drill four Chapita j Wells area, southeast of Vernal, I test wells to depths below 8,800 I feet. j Mr. Stowe says latest Hughes 1 Tool Company rig counts in Utah show 29 active drilling rigs at work I compared to 26 at this time last I year.
