Show News Notes from Hanksville Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hatch are the parents of a 9 lb. son born the 6th in Moab at Allen Memorial Hospital. He was taken to the Grand Junction hospital early Friday morning by ambulance for a blood condition and will be released within a week. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reay, Green River, Mrs. Norma Boiler, Hanksville and Gordon Hatch, Richfield. Greatgrand-parents Greatgrand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ekker. The new arrival arriv-al has been named Steven Shae and he has two older sisters, Kori Lynn and Amy Kay. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Wayne Cheskaty are the parents of a son born Jan. 6. He is their second child and first grandson grand-son for Larry and Julia Ekker Cheskaty and Raymond Lee of San Diego,, Ca. Master Cheskaty tipped the scales at 8 lbs. 3 oz. His older sister is Julie who will soon be 3 years old. Mrs. Beth Hopkins returned return-ed this week from Wisconsin where she spent the holidays with her brother and his family. She visited with the Andy Andersons in Grand Junction after her flight home anH nirkpH hpr nnimalc nn at the kennels before returning home. The Chalmers Garber of Paradox, Colorado visited their son, Dirk, and family during the holidays and then the younger Garbers visited them while in Moab last week for dental appointments. ' Hanksville finally got some moisture Wednesday when an inch of snow fell during the entire day with .05 precipitation precipita-tion measured. This is the first moisture for this area for more than three months and it was greatly needed. The La Naie Albrecht home was the location Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner for their son, Danny, his wife and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Albrecht, Mrs. and Mrs. Rod Sellers and family, and sisters Janet and Donna , were guests. Danny will enter the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake the following day for surgery on Jan. 13 on his shoulder. Danny was shot on Oct. during tne deer hunt and has been recuperating since at his home in Fremont. Era and Effie Gibbons, former for-mer Hanksville residents, will celebrate their golden wedding wed-ding the 29th day January at the Colonial House in Lehi, Utah. The Merri-Miss Primary Class held their annual Daddy-Daughter Dinner Date on Jan. 15 at the ward recreation hall. Officers in attendance were: RaeLene Ekker, Primary Pri-mary President; Mark and Becky Dean, Jack and Cristy Peterson. Daddys and daughters daught-ers were: Bishop Erickson and Kim, La Vor Wells and Brenda, Jesse Ekker and Jo-di, Jo-di, Steve Rasmussen and Brenda Herman, Dennis Ekker Ek-ker and Shelly, Lewis Wilcox and Michelle, Dennis and Chy-lene Chy-lene Lierd. The menu included fried chicken, salads, homemade home-made icecream, and cake. The evening's theme was the "Red Barn" and the group enjoyed competition games and basketball bas-ketball after the affair. A farewell party was given at Hite for Luther and Mae Cook who were returning to their home in San Diego for a month. The Hanksville PTA met in regular session the 13th. Pres. Marty Lampman presented a letter from a lady in Salt Lake wanting to present a book fair at the school.
