Show Child Killed In Accident At Paradox Glare ice was responsible for an accident in Paradox Valley Monday afternoon which claimed the life of D. J. Redd, the 9-month old son of John and Kathy Redd, of Paradox. The accident occurred at a blind intersection when Kath-y's Kath-y's small car collided with the dual wheels of a cattle truck belonging to Redd Ranches. Little D. J. suffered injuries to the head. He was taken by the Nucla ambulance and was flown to Grand Junction for surgery, but later died. Kathy suffered broken ribs, and a daughter in the vehicle had a cut lip. The driver of the Redd Ranches vehicle was cited for driving left of center, however because of the black ice Condition of the road, authorities had to dig out the ice to determine where the center line lay. Funeral services will be held in Paradox at the LDS Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22. |
