Show 6IA1 is Reconsidering Oil and Gas Categories The Bureau of Land Management's Man-agement's Monticello District is taking another look at the oil and gas leasing categories that were established about two years ago for national resource lands in Grand and San Juan Counties. The category designations will be the subject of three informal public meetings to be held soon, according to BLM's District Manager, Frank C. Shields. The meetings are scheduled as follows: Monticello - June 4, 2 to 6 p.m. at the BLM Office Building; Moab - June 5, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Grand County Courthouse; and Salt Lake City - June 11, 1 p.m. in the Salt Palace. Each meeting will be conducted in an open house fashion with one-to-one dialogue dia-logue between the public and BLM officials being encourag ed. The interested public i; invited to attend at the mosi convenient location (each ol the three meetings will be essentially the same) and tc submit ideas and recommendations recommen-dations for redesignation ol the oil and gas leasing categories. Information received receiv-ed will become a part of BLM's environmental assessment and will be used in making revised designation decisions. A detailed brochure identifying identi-fying current and potential resource values and possible conflicts in resource management manage-ment is available upon request at the Monticello BLM District Office, P.
