Show I 4 H I REPORTSj Tuesday, May 20, Dr. Thomas from University of Utah was at the courthouse as scheduled. He went through things having to do with the following: 4H Philosophy and Objectives, 4H Record Books He showed us a real nice book and told us the necessities neces-sities of the records and I things, 4H Show Rule Book, 4H Horse Club leaders training train-ing aids He gave the leaders a book to help them help their members, State and Regional Show Business 1. Organization, 2. Location, 3. Events. We talked about the regional 4H show that is to be held August 6 in Price. The I state 4H show will be held at the State Fair. We voted on what events we would like to have. Judging Events and Reasons We had planned to go to the arena but got rained out. So we stayed and watched a slide about Arabians and their faults, how to determine them and tell where they are. 4-H Members who w ill serve as delegates from Grand County at the State 4-H Youth Conference June 9-11 have been announced. They are Mary Walker, Elaine Cozzens, Lozetta Edwards Ed-wards and Laura Shields. Selected as alternates were Laurie Hetzel and Karen Cozzens. A meeting will be held Friday, May 30 at 1:30 p.m. at 452 Park Dr. for delegates and alternates. At this time plans will be made for an exhibit which will be on display during the "County Fare" portion of the conference. In addition to making new friends, delegates will gain some new perspectives on the purpose and plans for the observance of our nation's Bicentennial; enlarge their understanding and appreciation apprecia-tion of their Utah heritage; learn some basic skills in the discovery, restoration and preservation of valuable things from the past, and the importance of preserv i n g those of the present. Following their return, delegates del-egates will present their report to all local 4-H clubs. Enrollment of all 4-H Clubs should be completed and in . the County Agent's Office this ) next week.
