Show Two Hundred Involved !n Coming Track Meet (t Approximately 200 contestants con-testants will be participating participat-ing in the largest day of sports ever hosted by GCK3 The Region Six Track Finals Fin-als are to be held in Moab this Friday, May 9, beginning begin-ning at 9:30 a. m. Twelve schools including last years region champ, uni-tah, uni-tah, have notified GCHS officials of-ficials that their team will be entered in the track competition. com-petition. Tabiona, one of the twelve, will be bringing 16 thinclads, about one third of their entire studentbody. Hopes are high for Red Devil tracksters as they have already brought homa five first place trophies this year and look to add another anoth-er to the overcrowded case. GCHS golfers will also be going the rounds, as they, meet teams from San Juan, Montictllo, East Carbon, Uintah and Notre Dame. The meet will of course, be held on the Moab Golf course, and will begin af. 10:00 a.m. Although Grand will not. be participating in the region reg-ion tennis meet, Uintah, East Carbon and Notre Dame will be. This meet is to be held on the newly erec-ed erec-ed tennis courts situated just north of the Mograndnh field. These matches, too will begin at 10:00. Townspeople are encouraged encourag-ed to come out and see for themselves the type of team work that has made the GCHS rack team "Bound for State." |
