Show City budget hearing views coming year The City of Moab will hold a public hearing on its proposed budget for the upcoming year on Thursday, June 30, at 8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The basic general fund budget reflects a moderate 8 per cent increase over the estimated expenditures of the current yeaf: $894,897 compared to $827,296. The estimated total expenditures for the current fiscal year will be considerably under the original budget figure for the year, noted City Administrator Adminis-trator Dave Bretzke. He said the Revenue Sharing expen- ditures in next year's budget represent a substantial increase, with $56,332 spent for projects during the current year, and a projected tentative Revenue Sharing budget of $127,350 for the upcoming year. This is an increase of about $75,000, which includes some carryover monies. Water and sewer are not included in the general fund budget, and this fund is estimated at $110,050 for the coming year. The City mill levy is currently 19.5 mills, and the budget for the upcoming year will not necessitate an increase. |
