Show Thompson News Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Pene and family from Arizona spent New Year's weekend visiting their grandparents, Antonio Pene, Sr. and his father Jr. Pene in Thompson. Those spending New Year's dinner at the D.B. Curtis' were Alaina, Darla, Wanna and Wade Shuey of Moab, grandchildren and Virginia Gruver. i Lester Rogers had a New Year's party in his new cafe with everything free. Drinks, pop, beer and popcorn were served. Everybody had a very nice time and it lasted into the wee hours of the morning. Mr. and Mrs. Deveirl Curtis of Magna on their way home from Huston, Texas, stopped in Thompson to visit his brother and wife, D.B. Curtis. Visiting from Green River for a few days over New Years with Cheri and Joe Jeffries was Jackie Lemiuex. Jackie, as well as quite a few of the local people, joined in the festivies at the Cook Tent for the New Year's party given by A.J. Rogers and his parents, Margie and Les. A grand time was had by all. December 31, 1975, Lulie Clark arrived home from her six-month visit to friends and relatives in California. Visiting between the Jess and Betty and the Joe and Cheri Jeffries and also Kenny and Cathy Frame's homes over the New Year's holidays were Robert True from Rock Springs, Wyo. who arrived Dec. 31 and returned home Jan. 4, 1976. Butch Myers who came to visit Christmas day from Delta, Colo, also left for home on the 4th. |
