Show Taxpayers Ashed To Note Exact Residence A new block which appears in i he 1 975 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return 1040 and I040A can be very important lo Moab City and Grand County regarding the amount of Federal Revenue Sharing monies to be allotted to each. The block requests information informa-tion as to where the taxpayer lives, and from this information informa-tion the Census Bureau will determine the number of residents in a governmental subdivision, such as the citv or . county, and from that allocate how much Revenue Sharing will be given lo each. City Recorder R.W. Unger said Tuesday that Revenue Sharing funds received by the city last year were obviously based on a lower population figure than actually lives within he city. This constituted constitu-ted a penally, he pointed out, urging all local taxpayers to pay particular attention to this new block on their 1040 or 1040A income tax return. Anyone who has a question as to whether they live in the city or county, and in which township they reside is urged to call Moab City Offices. 254-5121. or the Grand County Assessor. 259-7696, before they complete and mail in their tax return. This information included on lax returns can be very valuable lo all local residents, as Revenue Sharing funds have provided monies for many worthwhile community commun-ity impro emenis over the pasl few years which would not base been completed without tl.e funds. |
