Show Hanksville Clinic Operation Reviewed by Group Dr. Robert Kalinouskl with the Ansociation to American Me!ie;il Colleges and who heads the Health Services Di. vision in Washington, D.C., and Mr. Torrance Keenan, Senior Executive of the Robert Ro-bert Woods Johnson Foundation, Founda-tion, Princeton, N.J.; Mr. Richard McDermott, Assistant Assist-ant Director of Utah Valley Hospital at Provo, Utah and Dr. Eugene Davie, Chief of the Emergency Room Staff at Utah Valley Hospital flew to Hanksville early Tuesday morning and met for two hours with the Hanksville Medical Clinic Board of Directors Dir-ectors to discuss the Robert Wood Jolinson Foundation's assistance in funding tho new clinic. Following the meeting, a public meeting was held in the LDS Church recreation hall at 10 a.m. where, these men held a question and answer ans-wer session with residents. Besides a good turnout of Hanksville people, there was representation from Bull Frog by Jerry Clark and from Capitol Reef by Mr. and Mrs. Grant Clark. These men were very impressed with the accomplishments ac-complishments of the Hanksville Hanks-ville clinic which has been in operation for three months and has treated volumes of patients. These patients have included residents, tourists to Lake Powell and Capitol Reef as well as residents of upper up-per Wayne County and the Grpen River area. |
