Show Charges Filed After Accident Charges of assault and battery bat-tery are pending against Nellie Nel-lie Beyeler as a result of an automobile accident which occurred on Sept. 4, at 5:35 p.m. on Third East Street. The accident occurred when Mrs. Beyeler, driving a 1971 Maverick ran into a 1971 Ford driven by Clara Mc-Dougall. Mc-Dougall. About $200 damage was listed, to the Beyeler auto and about $300 to that of Mrs. McDougall. The incident inci-dent was investigated by City Police officer Jim Nyland. Officer Nyland was also called to investigate an accident ac-cident on Fifth West on Sept. 4, when'Steven A. Farnsworth driving a 1966 Chevrolet, attempted at-tempted to adjust a car stereo and los tcontrol of his car, hitting a telephone pole. About $300 damage was listed list-ed to the car and about $50 to the utility pole. Mr. Farnsworth Farns-worth was cited for improper impro-per lookout. Walker Drug parking lot was the scene of a Sept. 5 accident when Vicki Gentry, driving a 1965 Ford, backed into a parked 1963 Chevrolet belonging to David Hoffman. Hoff-man. About $90 damage was done to the Hoffman car and none to the Gentry auto. Police Po-lice Chief Melvin Dakon, who investigated, stated that no citations were issued as the accident occurred on private pri-vate property. On Sept. 5, the M & M Auto Au-to Parts parking' lot was the scene of an accident when a 1966 Chevrolet owned by Gary McKinnon lurched ahead as he attempted to start the car. The auto hit a parked 1966 Chevrolet belonging to Melvin Grey doing about $75 damage to each of the vehicles. |
