Show Tad Kanzaki Will Leave Ta'oashi Vincent Kan.aki, Purchasing Agent for Home .take Mines, will leave Moab Mo-ab soon to .accept, a new po- ; silion in the Death Valley, California, area. Mr. Kanzaki has been a resident of Moab since 1944. He came from California wiin his family to a government govern-ment relocation camp dur-mr dur-mr World War H, and has remained to see Moab grow i'.om a little t .wn "where we n.de hoi es through Main Street" to its present status. Mr. Kanzaki worked with fritn-is in the last truck gardening enterprise in Moab, Mo-ab, then served a tour of duty in the European Theater Thea-ter during the war. Ho later studied 'business in New York City for three years, and after working there, a year returned to involve in the uranium industry of the area. Mr. Kanzaki recalls being equipped with a rifle in his truck while working for an-i an-i other firm during the peak of the boom, in case trouble arose with "claim jumpers." There were no mine access reads then, and he recalls following dry washes from Green River to Temple Mountain on ore halls. Mr1. Kanzaki worked at the Mexican Hat uranium mill for several years, before be-fore moving into the Moab area wi th the Homes take Mining Company. The veteran mine official declined predictions concerning con-cerning a second urainum boom for Moab. The price of uranium will set the pace he believes.
