Show Speech Evaluation Meeting Held by Moab Toastmistresses The Canyonlands Toast-mistress Toast-mistress Club held a speech evaluation meeting at the Desert Inn Thursday, attend ed toy tvo visiting Toast-mistresses Toast-mistresses from Grand Jun-tion. Jun-tion. They were Mrs. Bonnie Bon-nie Color, Chairman of Council No. 2, of Grand Junction, and Mrs. Veda West, Secretary of the Coun-' Coun-' cil, also of Grand Junction. ! Mrs. Marlene Jacobson was Toastmistress for the ' evening; Mrs. Iee Brown I Topic Mistress. Traveling Trophy was awarded to Mrs. Ma.xine Smith for the best topic of the evening. Mrs. Madge Cunningham was time keeper. An evalua tion panel was held on business bus-iness meeting, lexicolist, and speakers evaluation. On the panel were Mary Wilson Donna Nelson, Maxine Smith, Donna Loverage, Bonnie Cofer and Veda West. Flans were laid at the meeting for the Four-Con-ners Council Meet, to be held in Moab on April 15th. Finals for a progressive speech contest will 'be held, with Mrs. Betty Jacobs ren-resenting ren-resenting the Canyonlands group. Highlight of the day will be a tour on Tex's Colo. River Cruises. The speech meet will meet and evening banquet will be combined that evening. |
