Show WATER RIGHTS NOW THE CITY'S Knudson and Sagley at Viast Accept Offer of $30,- 000 Made for Property in j Big Cottonwood. After many conference? and hard driving of a bargain, the offer of the City Council of $30,000 for the Knud-eon-Bagley power righto in Big Cotton-wood Cotton-wood canyon was accepted last evening. Attorney S. A. King, representing the owners of the right", yesterday filed with the Recorder an a. oentance of the offer, which entitles the city to 44 per cent of the flow of Big 'ottonwood. Water will be turned into the conduit within ten days. Suit was commenced under the last administration for the right. Mayor Thompson and the water committee with Chairman Mulvey soon after coming com-ing into office opened negotiations with the owners of the rights. At firt the sum of $r5. was demanded. This was brought down to $3".oimi. At the meeting of the 'ouncil a week ago it was decided to offer $30,0' 0 and no more. On the floor of the 'ouncil Mayor Thompson declared that $3o.0i)n was a very good price for the nroperty. Manv of the members favored paying $32,f00.
