Cameron went to tue rooming-house rooming-house about midnight. Just how long he was there is not known except by himself and his former wife. About 2 o'clock this morning other occupants of the house heard a pistol shot. Mis. Cameron rushed from her room a few minutes later and is alleged to have stated that her former husband bad threatened to kill her and that during a scuffle a shot was fired from the revolver. re-volver. 1 ' i A bullet was found in the ceiling of the room. Cameron left the house a few seconds after the shot was lired. Mrs. Cameron secured a divorce from her husband a few months ago, and it is claimed that he has been drinking heavily heav-ily for several days, and has made threats against the life of his wife. Cameron is about 45 years of age and his wife is about seven years younger. |
