Show TRIED TO CLEAN OUT LAUNDRY AND QUICKLY LANDS IN PRISON Robert Cochrane was arested late last night by Policeman Carlson on a charge of assault with s deadly weapon wea-pon with intent to do bodily harm. According to the story told to the police, po-lice, Cochrane went into a laundry on Commercial avenue about 5 o'clock yesterday yes-terday afternoon and made a complaint about some laundry. Words followed between the manager .and the customer. It is said that Cochrane drew a revolver, re-volver, and that he kicked the manager man-ager apd a man who came to the man-, ager's assistance. Two of the young women in the office fainted. "At this point in the proceedings Cochrane Sacked out of the door and made. his escape. The matter was reported to the police, po-lice, and Cochrane' was caught on Commercial Com-mercial street several hours later. At first Cochrane is said to have denied de-nied that he had been near the laundry. laun-dry. Later he admitted that he had been there, but denied the gun play. In default of $200 bail he was locked up. |
