Show CHICAGO PRODUCE. CHICAGO, March 28. The wheat market mar-ket today opened active and strong on a good general demand, which was based on higher cables and hot weather in Kansas. Later, prices eased off somewhat some-what on realising sales and favorable weather for seeding in the Dakotas. May wheat opened I to ic higher, at 76 to 76ic, and sold at 76ic . The corn market opened quiet and firm. Local receipts were about equal to expectations, ex-pectations, and cables were strong. May opened c higher, at 46ic. sold at 461c, and declined to 461c. The oats market was quiet and firm In sympathy with wheat and corn. May opened ic higher, at 411c and sold at 41ic Despite a 5 10c decline In the price of live hogs, the provisions market was firm. May pork opened 171c higher, at $15,621; lard was unchanged at $8.60, and ribs were 67c higher, at $8.45. |
